Big Rapids Wildflower Family Session Photo

At Swede Hill Park in Big Rapids there are a ton of beautiful purple and white wildflowers. (I have no know idea what the flowers are called). I have been really wanting to do a session with these flowers! My friend Melissa and her family volunteered to help me.

This is my second time photographing this sweet family, and it was an absolute joy! The children were so much more comfortable around me and the camera (Tobias) . The little girl loved taking pictures and kept wanting me to take more photos of her. Gran even came to the photoshoot, and we were able to take a few portraits of everyone together.

I love photographing families especially families with small kids. I can normally get the best candid shots without prompts during these sessions. I have learned to just go with the flow with little kids. If the child or children want to look at flowers, then let them look at flowers. If the child wants to jump on rocks, then let them jump on rocks. Following the child's lead usually results in great candid shots.

Side note: as I was working on this blog post, I found a TICK on me! I Hulked smashed it!
